Ingrid Laura Vialva, many know her as "Ings" "Ingo" or "Tanty" was called home to rest in peace on December 10th, 2021 at the age 67 after a long battle of cancer.
Ingrid is survived by her mother Tilla Thomas, husband Ferdinad Vialva, daughter Zinelle Vialva, sisters Charmaine and Cherry, brothers Junior, Stafford and Roger, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father Vivian Wilson and her Grandmother Margaret Walton.
Ingrid was born on November 26, 1954 to Tilla Thomas and Vivian Wilson, in Port of Spain Trinidad and Tobago. She was the 2nd oldest of 6. Her brother Junior, her sister Charmaine, her brother Stafford, her sister Cherry and her youngest brother Roger.
She grew up in Petit Valley Trinidad and went to Woodbrook Secondary school, where she enjoyed being an outdoor athlete. She would enjoy running, netball, soccer and other various activities. At the age of 19 she traveled with her family and came to the United States and resided in Brooklyn NY. A few years later she met Ferdinand Vialva who she married in June 1983. In January 1985, her first daughter Zinelle Vialva was born.
She was an avid lover of Carnival, she was a "Regular Masquerader" in Brooklyn and Trinidad. Additionally to her fun side her relationship with God was unmatched. God was always first in her life and in her heart.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am on December 27th at Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home. Located at 92 Wahl Ave, Inwood, NY 11096.
